“The Testing”

The blood that covers me. The blood that makes my enemies be still. The blood that washes my sins away. The blood that speaks on my behalf. The blood that shows and proves. The blood that protects. The blood that hides me when the world seem like it’s throwing everything at you at once. Know that God shall prevail! You just have to stand in his word and trust and believe that he is turning it around in your favor!

Did you ever get so mad when someone said something to you that really pressed your buttons? Or just down right disrespected you? You want to yell, sometimes even fight. But in reality You should be mad at yourself for allowing them to have that much affect on you. You are a child of a royal King, and you should act as such. I know that it is easier said than done sometimes; and you are only human. But, with constant prayer, and self discipline it is possible. Did you ever think about why you are going through certain things, and why God is allowing it to happen? What have you been asking God for? Are you prepared? What if all those times you got angry and spaced out, it was God’s way of testing you? Only seeing if you would be ready, fully equipped for the next chapter in your life. So, you fail the test and he holds off on that thing you being praying for. You become frustrated and you start to doubt God for not giving you what you’ve been praying for. But, all along you just aren’t ready. Why don’t you start praying in a different way. Ask him to give you discernment, strength, and self control. And ask him to make your feet, and tongue slow towards anger. But, allowing yourself to pause before you react. Not giving the enemy what he wanted all along. When you are trying to do better; and actually is. Then the enemy steps in to disrupt your process. Don’t give anyone the satisfaction to Delight in your struggle. Walk away. Take a walk. Take a pause, and allow God to speak through you. I’m going to pray this with you all as well because Lord knows I have been tested lately! We will get right together. Say this prayer with me.

Thank you God for allowing me to understand when I have to take a step back and reevaluate my situation, my surroundings. I know I will not be strong all of the time, so I will need your help each and everyday. Helping me to discern when the enemy wants to knock me off of my journey. I ask that you protect me from my enemies. I ask that you allow love to flow from me no matter what situation I’m in. I thank you for your love and your mercy. In Jesus Name I pray! Amen.

Waiting

How many times you wanted to give up, throw in the towel? It seemed as though no matter how much you prayed things weren’t happening for you. Did you fail God? Or is it that you wasn’t doing enough. Or, how about that time that stranger asked for your help and you just turned away? We beat ourselves up wondering what we are doing wrong into why God is “not” answering our prayers the way we want. But, what if he is saying, “be still, do nothing. I have heard you and I am taking care of it.” Are we truly listening when we pray? Or we just looking for results? By praying and then watching, looking for immediate results will have you confused, and just down and out. When we pray we should wait and listen for the answer. Stay in standby, never ceasing in prayer. You have to always have faith that what you are praying for will be answered in God’s perfect way. Not our way, but his. If you want things to happen in your way then don’t involve him. It shows that even though you are asking for his help you don’t trust his perfect plan when you are angry with the outcome. God is a good God and he created you. So trust that he know Exactly what you need.

Lord, I come to you today with faith that you are doing exactly what needs to be done in my life. I will stay still until you tell me to move. I’m not always strong, so I will need your strength in my waiting. I trust you Lord and I know that your will shall be done. Amen.

"Go Back"

Sam said, "Lord, help me.... I'm lost. I keep walking up and down this road, but it seem as though the road is never ending. I turn right, then I turn left to only come out more confused. I just can't go any longer. My feet is tired and full of blisters. I don't know how much more I can take. I try to make my friends and family understand, but they never seem to  have the answer. So, I continue to walk halfway dead. But I don't stop. Lord what am I doing wrong?" The Lord answered and said, "Go back, go back to where it all started and start over." Stop seeking for something that's not there. Stop chasing for things that I did not give to you. Be still. I know it is hard, but stop my child. Hear my voice. Go back, dig deep! Go back to the place where you sought me and you received me. Then you will find your answer.

How many times were you Sam? Searching for something that wasn't there. Hoping that something that was never meant to happen would just magically happen. You end up stuck for many years looking for something that's not there. I have been there and the only way I got out was to seek God face. To really give myself away and trust in him fully. God is calling you back to the place where it all started.

Lord I ask that you order my steps. Unclog my ears so that I can hear and receive your word. I have been traveling and searching for my answers for far too long, to only end up at a dead end. Refresh me. Breath new life into me so that I can live the life that was designed for me. Amen.
