Hearing the voice of the Lord

Sometimes in life we can get caught up in things that would distract us from getting close with God. We get caught up in work, bills, friends etc. But we must always make time to hear from the Lord. How will we know how to cope in life if we never hear his directions? We also have to be careful what we feed into our spirits. Feeding the wrong things into our spirit can make our hearing impaired. God wants to speak to us. But are we allowing him to? We must set aside our natural ears and put on our spiritual ears in order to hear from him. Lets not get distracted by everyday life. We must put God first in everything that we do. If we do this our life will line up according to his purpose. Because his purpose is what counts. So lets slow down and listen. God is trying to tell us something.
