You know when you start to exercise you have a goal. Whether the goal is to lose weight or to gain strength/muscles. And during that time you may become tired stiff and hopeless. Because you're not seeing the results that you desire. But, you have to stay with it in order to see results. Because if you give up you will still have the same weight and the same weakness you began with. (Did you catch that). So no matter how things might be looking the results may seem slow but if you stay with it the results will be all worth it. At the end you will be stronger, lighter and with more power.
Your walk in Christ may seem lonely at times. It may seem as if God just stop dealing with you all in all. But that's not so. What we don't realize is where God is about to take us requires patience, strength, endurance, wisdom, obedience. So in your process when you feel like giving up, stay still for the victory and your results are in the finishing.
1Timothy 4:8
For physical training is of some value (useful for a little), but godliness (spiritual training) is useful and of value in everything and in every way, for it holds promise for the present life and also for the life which is to come.
