Remove the Earplugs

No matter what storm you face you should never let your ears fall deaf to God's still small voice. Alot of things in life will cause us to only hear the noise of the destruction that is going on around us. We should never let that noise drain out the voice of God. We pray and we wonder why Christ is not hearing us but we are the ones not hearing him. We are focusing on the News, mess in and outside of work, and what our neighbors are saying about us. How can we hear anything with all of that nonsense in our ears. I call that earplugs. We need to remove the earplugs out of our ears and listen to what Jesus is saying. I was directed to read on Elijah the prophet. And God showed me how just like Elijah we can sometimes get sidetracked because of our grief and fear. 1 Kings 19 9~12. It talks about how God told Elijah to go to the mountain top and how an earthquake passed, strong winds, and fire but God was not in none of those. But in a mere whisper. You see you cannot hear God in all that mess and chaos. You have to be still and listen with all of your heart. Do not fear what man will do to you. Know God has you and is always waiting for you to listen for his voice. Remove the earplugs!

I believe this message was given because God is wanting his people to stop and listen to what he is saying. There are too many of us glued to the media instead of him. Lord I'm guilty of this as well! All of these distractions are causing us to lose focus. God is saying remove the earplugs!
