"Many say that they love me, but what they do and say shows different." This is what came in my spirit as I prayed one morning. As I read John 8 39~47. It really spoke to me and what the Lord placed within me. How can we say we are God's children but have hate in our heart towards others? There are people that will hit your hate button, but we have to remember we are not fighting against flesh and blood but of evil spirits.
In verse 42 Jesus says if God was your Father you would love me. So who are you representing? If we are God's children we should do as our Father would do. If our kids break the law. Immediately people would say "that child was not raised right," are "that child comes from a misfit home." Really sometimes that's not the case. But, however that makes us as parents look bad.
So when we say we are Christians and we are children of God but constantly showing hate and ill will towards others we are not representing our Father. I was struggling with this one evening because someone had pushed my hate button and I said somethings that later convicted me. But I remembered that its not about that person nor I. But to destroy the Lord's name. So I repented and moved forward. So when someone comes around tugging at your hate button just remember that they were blind sided by the enemy and forgive them and ask God to show you what to do. Many of us pray for a heart like Christ, but we have to remember to ask for his strength too. Because old trustworthy flesh will make you go bananas everytime! :) Keep in mind everyday that we are representing Christ and we want the love of Christ to shine through us. Don't worry about when someone do you wrong. A Father always hurts when their child is hurt and he will take care of it all.
God bless! Lets destroy division because we are a greater force together!
