Do Not Become Plaque With Fear

Although Satan throws us into the fire we shall never be defeated, for the Lord is with us.

Just recently my trust has really been tested. God has put me in situations that has opened my eyes to a few things. About a week or so ago my husband and I had decided that we were going to take our children to a water park before school starts. So we gathered all of the necessary things that we needed for the day and headed out to have some family fun. We arrived to the park and everything was going as planned. Kids were happy, the scenery was good. I was excited to go down the big water slide! Little did I know that I was going to freak out right when I hit the water! Yes, that’s right I freaked out! I could not stand and catch my breath and I thought I was going to die there that day. Even though the water was only 3ft 8in, I could not stand because my legs became weak. The fact that I cannot swim didn’t help either. Some would laugh at the fact that I almost drowned in a little amount of water. But, it can happen if you are panicking. So, as I was fighting myself to stand I was able to see the lifeguard standing there watching me, not making a move. So eventually I was able to signal him over. At that point he came and helped me up. I had water in my mouth, my nose and I was gasping for air. But, I was able to catch my breath as soon as I calmed myself down. I was pretty embarrassed. But, as I thought about it I became angry. I became angry at the fact that the lifeguard did not take action sooner. That really left a bad taste in my mouth. I began to think that there was no one in the world that cared about your life like your family do. I use to have issues where I wouldn’t go anywhere that was out of my comfort zone. I believe that the enemy is always looking for ways to take you back to the places that you fear the most. But, when God set you free, you are free indeed. So, a few days later my trust was tested once again. I was at work, and all of a sudden my vision in my right eye became blurry and I immediately became lightheaded.  I informed my coworkers that I felt as though I was about to pass out. So the lady at the desk called EMT. The quick response from those people that day has showed me that there are still loving people out there that really do care about your life.  There are a lot of evil people in this world, but as long as there is a God there are good people too. God listens to your heart and he knows what’s troubling you. He is such an awesome God! He will take care of you. I shall not be plague with fear. Because the word says For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. (2 Timothy 1:7) So no matter what you go through know that God will always keep you.
